Miscellaneous Abstracts: Old Bailey Trials

Trials from 1674 to the end of December 1799, plus London Gazette records and a few wills (entries marked in yellow).

David Alexander abstracted all the names which appeared to be Jewish (some say they are but not always). Certainly this includes people who are not Jewish and probably some who are have been missed.

In some cases David has matched the names with various synagogue lists, but not always.

The records are only from the Old Bailey and trials in other parts of England would yield more names. Among the names are 329 persons transported to North America, the Coast of Africa and Australia. A mini Diaspora!
